Midalidare breaks the record with 6 medals from IWG
With 6 gold medals were awarded the wines from the new Bulgarian winery Midalidare during early held in Spain competition of the world famous International Wine Guide.
More than 500 wines took part in the challenging competition this year.
Gold medals won the top wines of the winery Grande Cuvee 2009 and Grand Vintage Malbec 2009, three silver medals – Chardonnay Mogilovo 2009, Calista Chardonnay 2009 и Grand Vintage Cabernet Franc 2009 and the bronze medal was for the wine Petit Village 2009.
International Wine is created for professionals in the field of wine and also for wine enthusiasts from all over the world. The idea for the guide belongs to Jorge Martinez, agronomist and Master of Wine, a member of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and International Federation of Wine and Spirit Journalists and Writers (FIJEV) and also a member of the jury in several international competitions.

The skills of both of them are undisputable, their will and ambition to make the wines of Midalidare a synonym of the highest quality Bulgarian wines already gives a result and recognition not only in the country, but also in the competitions in which we take part."- said the trade and marketing director of the winery Galina Niforu.
Midalidare possesses 250 decares its own vineyards situated in Mogilovo village, Chirpan district. The capacity of the winery is 100 000 bottles per year. The wines, produced in limited series, express the terroir of the area. Our two oenologists have left their fingerprints on the above mentioned wines. During their short presence on the market the wines succeeded in becoming a standard for quality and are preferred from the wine lovers not only in Bulgaria, but also in other countries.
