Gold medal for Midalidare at Mundus Vini
Grande Cuvee 2009 from the boutique winery of Midalidare won an extremely special award for Bulgaria - a gold medal from the prestigious wine competition Mundus Vini. Grande Cuvee 2009 featured among the best wines in the world as it fascinated the competent jury with its high qualities. Silver medals received the wines Grand Vintage Syrah 2009 and Midalidare Pinot Gris 2010. Midalidare Pinot Gris 2010 represents the first Bulgarian wine by the variety of Pinot Gris which has received such a high assessment on the international wine scene.
During the 11th competition at Mundus Vini more than 6 000 wine from 42 countries were estimated with blind tasting from the competition jury, which consisted of 270 wine experts from 50 countries.
„For us these medals represent a proof that we develop in the right direction. The wines of Midalidare were presented on the market just one year ago but they stood with a high quality not only in Bulgaria, but also at many prestigious competitions. This is an acknowledged result from the efforts of our whole team and the most from the efforts of our talented oenologists Nikolay Katerov and Aleksandar Aleksiev, whose biggest ambition is to make the wines of Midalidare a synonym of the highest quality not only in the country, but also internationally."- said Galina Niforu, trade and marketing director of the winery.
The prestigious awards will be officially presented in the middle of November.
