Tasting and serving
Tasting notes: Vivid, opaque, dark ruby red colour with intensive purple shades. Rich, blooming on the nose with aromas of ripe black berries and cherries, black pepper and black cardamom, black plum jam, tobacco, licorice, chocolate and an elegant smoky oak. Midalidare Barrel Fermented Tannat is a full-bodied, bold wine with powerful tannins and noticeable acidity. The palate is dominated by black berries and jammy notes, spices and tobacco. The finish is fruity, with medium intensity and a spicy aftertaste.
Serving suggestions: Pairs well with rich and fatty dished, and smoky, spiced and meaty flavours. Great with grilled red meat, game, hard cheese and wild mushrooms. Serve at 15-20°С, in Cabernet/Merlot wine glass (tall stem, large bowl with slightly tapered top, narrow rim), Bordeaux wine glass (tall stem, larger bowl, wide rim) or regular Red wine glass.
