Midalidare is starring in Czech Republic

The International Wine Festival in Pardubice is approaching. But the competition is over and has brought Midalidare and Prowine s.r.o, our official representative for the Czech Republic, a reason for immense pride. Pride not only for us as a producer, but also for Bulgarian wine in general.

We have been awarded the Mayor's Collection Award for the best 6 foreign wines from this year's edition. Six wines, rated in the range of 90 to 94 points, awarded 4 large gold medals and 2 gold medals. Not one exceptional wine, but six, in different styles, with different methods of vinification and made from different varieties.

This accolade is of great importance to Midalidare, because it reflects not only the result of our work, the efforts, resources and passion we invest in. It is significant because it proves that Bulgaria has its place on the world wine map, that Bulgarian wine is not just of high quality, but can successfully compete with established producers from both Europe and the New World. The fact that in a blind tasting the highest rated wine from our collection is only 0.67 points below the score of this year's champion - BROS Shiraz 2016, further adds more value to Bulgarian wine production.

And yet, despite all the awards, the most important thing is the feedback of the audience, of the people who are consuming our wines. If you are on your way to Czech Republic on August 28th and 29th , all our medalists will be expecting you. Or we will be happy to welcome you at the winery in Mogilovo or at the upcoming wine events in Bulgaria: Taste Bulgaria 2026 on October 17th and DiVino Taste 2026 on November 26th and 27th.
